WHO WE ARE

Welcome! We’re Indoor Ag-Con. We host events about indoor agriculture; growing produce and raising fish in greenhouses, warehouses and containers using hydroponic, aquaponic and aeroponic technologies. Our events unite farmers, growers, chefs, technology geeks, suppliers, investors and advocates.  We hope you join us at our next Indoor Ag-Con!

  • OUR NEXT EVENT

Indoor Ag-Con is coming to New York for the first time on October 15, 2015 with an exclusive one-day event at Helen Mills Theater, Chelsea.

We’re asking 12 industry leaders to talk not about their companies or academic studies, but about their wider visions, whether that’s bringing open source big data to all farmers or placing their company in the context of the circular economy.

  • OUR WHITE PAPER
    coverpage_final
Newbean Capital and Local Roots jointly authored a white paper entitled ‘Indoor Crop Production: Feeding the Future’, the key highlights are:
The need for indoor crop production is driven by unmet consumer demand for local fruit and veggies; 39 states in the nation have less production than consumption
The market is large – at just over $1/2bn – but has met a fraction of its $9bn potential
To date, there are 15 vertical and rooftop farms in the US, with around double that number under development

  • CHINA’S INDOOR AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY
Working with Beijing-based agriculture market research group Smart Agriculture Analytics, we launched a video on China’s indoor agriculture industry at the 3rd Indoor Ag-Con. This was our second collaboration with the group, after a widely-shared infographic on the state of the Chinese indoor agriculture industry.
