Indoor Ag-Con is coming to New York for the first time on October 15, 2015 with an exclusive one-day event at Helen Mills Theater, Chelsea.

We’re asking 12 industry leaders to talk not about their companies or academic studies, but about their wider visions, whether that’s bringing open source big data to all farmers or placing their company in the context of the circular economy.

  • OUR WHITE PAPER
    coverpage_final
Newbean Capital and Local Roots jointly authored a white paper entitled ‘Indoor Crop Production: Feeding the Future’, the key highlights are:
The need for indoor crop production is driven by unmet consumer demand for local fruit and veggies; 39 states in the nation have less production than consumption
The market is large – at just over $1/2bn – but has met a fraction of its $9bn potential
To date, there are 15 vertical and rooftop farms in the US, with around double that number under development

  • AQUAPONICS INFOGRAPHIC
Working with data from aquaponics industry consultant Sarah Taber, we’ve put together an infographic on six fish species that work well for commercial aquaponics. Check it out!
