FOUNDER, FARMBOX GREENS
Dan Albert is the founder of Farmbox Greens, a Seattle based indoor vertical farm, specializing in microgreens and culinary herbs. Prior to starting Farmbox, he earned a graduate degree in Landscape Architecture and practiced in the design industry for seven years. Dan’s work in indoor agriculture began in 2008 when he became involved with many early stage vertical farm design concepts. In 2011, Dan took the leap from design to implementation and began growing with a small aeroponic system. The following year Dan launched Farmbox Greens and expanded production with the goal of growing the finest quality, freshest microgreens in Seattle. In April of this year Farmbox Greens completed a new facility with the goal of increasing the supply of fresh, local, and sustainably grown produce to the Pacific Northwest.
