PLANT CULTIVATION & RESEARCH MANAGER, AESSENSEGROWS
Seth is currently the Plant Cultivation and Research Manager at AEssenseGrows in Sunnyvale, CA. Seth received his B.S. in Horticulture Science from Montana State University and his M.S. in Horticulture and Agronomy from UC Davis. He left a career in the wholesale nursery production in Western Washington and moved back to Montana with his wife and daughter where he worked for Montana State University as a Horticulture Extension Agent. Though Seth’s background was primarily in the greenhouse and nursery trade, he found himself working with and drawn to small diversified and specialty crop producers across Western Montana. As an Extension Agent, Seth worked closely with regional producers, greenhouses, and nurseries to provide technical support for plant, pest, and soil related issues. During his tenure with MSU Extension, he also developed numerous educational programs and carried out various on-farm research projects. Throughout his career, Seth has been involved in various trade associations and regional non-profits including a tenure on the Board of Directors of the Montana Organic Association and the Community Food and Agriculture Coalition where he worked to develop resources for beginning farmers and organic producers.
Seth joined AEssenseGrows in May of 2017 to expand the plant sciences team with anticipation of a growing industry. His role with AEssenseGrows is to help grow on-site and on-farm research as well as assist with customer support and product development.
