Alex Rudnicki, AeroFarms
Indoor Ag-Conversations speaker Alex Rudnicki is head of Farm Design for AeroFarms . Alex joined the company as its first technical hire in 2013. At the time, Alex helped expand the start-up’s capabilities in several fields such as data collection, engineering, construction, and sustainability.
In his role, he gained valuable operational experience as the Plant Manager of the world’s largest indoor farm in Newark, NJ. As Head of Farm Design today, Alex oversees all new projects to fruition. His interest in urban farming goes beyond AeroFarms. For example, Alex was a key contributor in advancing legislation to protect community gardens in New York City alongside former Councilmember Rafael Espinal. What’s more, he also holds degrees from Columbia University in Public Policy and Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
