Ian Kanski, Harrisburg University of Science & Technology
Indoor Ag-Conversations panelist Ian Kanski is a social entrepreneur with a career dedicated to human development and sustainable technology. He is the Director of the Center for Advanced Agriculture and Sustainability at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. He is also Board Chair for FarmTech Society in Brussels, Belgium. In addition, he is co-founder of INTAG, a developer of biological technologies for nutrient recycling, waste and water remediation in agriculture.
What’s more, Ian is also Co-Founder of the STEM Education consultancy B Theory Inc and former Chief Product Officer of Zoetic Global, an international project developer in renewable energy. Over his career, Ian has developed a portfolio of business and humanitarian projects spanning Europe, West Africa, Central America and the South Pacific. With fifteen years in new product and service development in fast-moving industry sectors in Agriculture, Education, Energy and Software, Ian’s work has been marked by creative and practical solutions for making new and impactful technologies accessible to more people.
Ian has also served on the Pennsylvania State STEM Advisory Council, a group of STEM education and workforce development leaders advising state government on policy and the integration of experiential learning into education initiatives across the Commonwealth.
