Milan Kluko, Artesian Farms
Indoor Ag-Conversations Panelist Milan Kluko is CEO and Co-Founder of Artesian Farms LLC and Berrien Processing Solutions (BPS). He has been in the environmental engineering, alternative energy, agriculture, and solid waste industry as an engineering consultant, developer, vendor and technology supplier for 38 years. For nearly four decades he has worked on developing recycling and solid waste reduction programs, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy and low impact development projects worldwide.
From 2001-2015 Mr. Kluko worked on worldwide projects as a sustainability consultant for the Coca Cola Company. During the past several decades his focus has been primarily on “project-based” assignments gaining significant expertise with a wide variety of environmental, agriculture, alternative energy, and recycling systems starting in 1982.
Mr. Kluko has worked in early stage “sustainable” agricultural and related water quality and supply projects in the western United States as well as consulted with large Illinois and Iowa based agricultural companies evaluating Controlled Environment Agriculture (“CEA”) and sustainable “indoor” farming.
Throughout his career he has also held senior management positions with publicly traded companies and senior technical and management positions with national engineering firms and environmental services firms. In addition, he has founded several companies focusing on renewable energy, agricultural based services with a focus on sustainability selling two of these enterprises to public traded and private companies.
Using decades of project based experience across a wide technical spectrum Mr. Kluko a multi (international) patent holder founded Green Spirit Farms on 11-11-11. On Earth Day 2015 he co-founded (through a license agreement) Artesian Farms located in Detroit, Michigan.
In 2019 after several years consulting in the hemp industry (in Colorado, Kentucky and Oregon) mostly on extraction system design he co-founded Berrien Processing Solutions – BPS. BPS headquartered in Michigan is a fully integrated hemp farming and extraction processing business with farming or extraction relationships throughout the Midwest and Pacific Northwest.
