JoWellen Douthit, Oasis Biotech
 JoWellen Douthit is the Plant Science R&D Manager at Oasis Biotech. She is responsible for developing products, overseeing and implementing all trials, and ensuring all vital crop information is translated to the commercial team. A bonafide plant nerd, JoWellen can often be found immersed in the crop, talking about transpiration rates and repeating yield numbers day- in and day-out.Prior to OBT, JoWellen held duel roles as Senior Production Manager and Plant Science Associate for Local Roots Farms. She comes from a horticultural background, having worked for more than five years in wholesale nursery production and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Plant Science from The University of Arizona. She hopes to one day earn her PhD and become an Extension Agent specializing in CEA/ Greenhouse Production. |
