Indoor Ag-Conversations Speaker Salah Brahimi is President & CEO of Grey Matter, LLC, a Washington DC based multi-sector global boutique active in global business operations and development, operating as a network of networks.
Salah is an EU-certified agricultural biotechnology engineer with specializations inclusive of food technology & agribusiness management. He was previously a senior executive at the World Bank, leading a major sustainable development portfolio inclusive of an agriculture, rural development, natural resources management and food & water security platform.
His current and past track records include leading major mandates for a number of public sovereign institutions (The World Bank; European Union; INRA / The French Government; Government of Belgium; KSA Govt.; State of Qatar; SABIC, ADIC, etc.) and private entities (ACWA Power, UFG, GDS, ADS, Atmos, Brighton Biotech, Boston Biotech, Seeloz, SVA, Everest, HUST, AV, CA South, Rawabi / Al-Turki Group, Empire Holdings / Al-Tajir Group, etc.), as well as standing up a number of successful start-up platforms as an entrepreneur and lead partner (GMI, EPI, Solman Inc., Braatz Co., ECG – Energy Capital Group, ECP – Empire Capital Partners, IFAS, Nuvo, Shelter Islands, TAG, etc.).
Salah also serves, since 1996, on the EU’s Expert Peer-Review Panel for successive Framework Programs in International Development Cooperation, including the sub-panels for Agricultural R&D, Farm to Fork Traceability, Food Security, Food Safety, Natural Resources Management (inclusive of projects in Forestry, Fisheries and Specialty Agriculture), Agriculture, Food Industries and Rural Development.
